The annual Rock & Roll Rumble is Boston’s local live music tradition – part festival, part new music showcase – that takes place in the early spring. It is a welcomed thaw after a cold New England winter that brings people together from around the regional music scene. Called the World Series of Boston Rock, we celebrate over nine nights in April. Twenty-four bands are selected to take part at our host venue for a third year – the Somerville event space known as ONCE Ballroom.
All active New England-based original bands are invited to send band information and new music for consideration (see form below). Over the past few years, I have taken it a step further by setting up open submissions to encourage local artists to get involved. While Rock & Roll Rumble consideration is a year-round happening that is directly related to submitting music to and getting played on Boston Emissions, it is important to me that new artists have the opportunity learn about the Rock & Roll Rumble, its history, and how to be involved. Pass it on. Please tell someone who would like to know how it works.
