PREGAME RITUALS
Georgio Broufas – vocals and guitar
Drew Pellegrini – bass
Corey Dinneen – drums
Pregame Rituals began as a one-man solo project by Lynn guitarist and songwriter Georgio Broufas (Western Education, Kue the Sun). Combining tender vocals with thunderous guitar riffs, Broufas recorded a four song EP in 2019 with local producer and engineer Tommy Ianello. After performing out a handful of times, Broufas decided to open the band up and recruit a consistent rhythm section. Enter bassist Drew Pellegrini (Red Light Overtime, We Should Talk) and drummer Corey Dinneen (Caveo, Batasodo). Thus, the band was truly born. The boys in Pregame Rituals are true to their name: auspicious, energetic, and sometimes rowdy. Their live persona reflects that: the huge guitar remains, supported by a thick and present bass and drum section pounding away the oft-chaotic rhythm. The angelic vocal persists, supported by growly backups. Each member of the band has their own musical inspirations, from metal and hardcore to indie folk singers; these influences are apparent throughout the set. Pregame Rituals continue to perform locally, refine their sound, and write, and record new music.
